West Ham v QPR player ratings

Pierce Charles’ stoppage-time penalty save secured a point for QPR at the London Stadium. Here’s how we rated each Rangers player in the 1-1 draw against West Ham.

Pierce Charles: 9

His penalty save and a superb stop to keep out the follow-up earned Rangers a point. And his overall display was excellent again, showing composure and his usual unique ability on the ball. Fantastic.

Kealey Adamson: 7

After some credible displays at left-back, Adamson did well in his natural right-back position before fading late in the game after picking up an injury. Battled hard and again showed he is a very decent option.

Jimmy Dunne: 7

A gutsy display from the captain. Very unlucky when he blocked Jarrod Bowen’s shot only for Bowen to fire in the loose ball.

Jake Clarke-Salter: 7

Also had a very good game. Calm throughout, even as Rangers came under pressure in the second half, and used the ball sensibly.

Boy Kemper: 9

Wow. An emphatic return for Kemper in just his second appearance, having been injured on his debut. He brilliantly handled Bowen, who scored straight after the Dutchman was taken off.

Kemper was excellent on his return to the QPR side

Ronnie Edwards: 7

Offered the back four excellent protection and produced a couple of vital headed clearances. Impressive again in midfield.

Nicolas Madsen: 7

Drifted in and out of the game but was good for the most part. Willing to put a foot in when Rangers came under pressure, and scored with a coolly taken penalty.

Glen Kamara: 7

Also showed a willingness to battle and played his part in Rangers being able to have the upper hand in midfield for large parts of the game.

Kwame Poku: 6

Quiet at times, but his pace and directness itself carried a threat.

Paul Smyth: 7

Fortunate to win a penalty as he was clearly not fouled, but Smyth was a pest on the left-hand side and caused West Ham problems. He was Rangers’ standout attacking player before going off in the second half.

Rayan Kolli: 7

Gave the ball away a few times, and Rangers lacked a focal point up front, but Kolli made a decent fist of the job of lone striker. He worked hard, took up some useful positions, and his hold-up play was good once he got into his stride. Also had a strike on goal saved.

Kolli made his first appearance of the season

Harvey Vale: 6

Did a steady job on the left after replacing Smyth.

Richard Kone: 6

Back from injury and still lacks sharpness, but gave Rangers more of a physical presence up front when he came on.

Tariq Lamptey: 5

His first involvement was allowing Bowen to cut in from the right onto his left foot – something Kemper had consistently refused to do – and it led to the Hammers equaliser. Lamptey was then sloppy on the ball – and then picked up another injury. Amadou Mbengue, who later came on too, also had a gift for the home side, giving away a penalty with a daft foul, but Charles saved the day.
