QPR defender Lynch to miss Bristol City game

Joel Lynch is unavailable for QPR’s game against Bristol City this evening.

The defender went off during the 7-1 thrashing at West Brom on Saturday after taking a knock to the head.

Alex Baptiste is in line to replace Lynch, who is expected to return to training on Thursday.

Manager Steve McClaren told the club website: “It’s protocol when you get a head injury that you don’t return to training until the Thursday. Hopefully we can get him back for Saturday.”

McClaren is considering making other changes in the wake of his team’s humiliating defeat at the weekend.
