Steven Caulker has been ruled out of QPR’s trip to face Sunderland.

The defender has been working his way back to fitness and featured against Barnsley before the international break as well as in recent Under-23 matches.

But Rangers say he is not being considered for the game against Sunderland, where the visitors will be looking for their first away win of the season.

They are still without injured defenders Grant Hall and Nedum Onuoha, while James Perch is sidelined with a long-term knee injury.

Massimo Luongo, Ryan Manning, Conor Washington, Pawel Wszolek and Idrissa Sylla have all returned from international duty unscathed and are available for selection.
