QPR confirm defender Kakay’s new deal

Osman Kakay’s QPR contract has been extended until 2021, the club have announced.

West London Sport recently revealed that the defender, 21, had been offered the new deal. His contract was due to expire next summer.

“Ossie is definitely one for the future,” Rangers manager Steve McClaren told the club website.

“He played at the start of the season and I thought he did excellently well.

“He came out of the team and Angel (Rangel) came in and he has been unfortunate in that respect.

“But he is an exciting player for the future and I am delighted he has agreed a new deal.”

Kakay has made six appearances for Rangers this season and 11 in total.

He has also played first-team football during loan spells at Chesterfield and Livingston.
