QPR boss Critchley has ‘clearer picture’

QPR head coach Neil Critchley

Neil Critchley says recent matches have given him a clearer idea of what he wants during this month’s transfer window.

QPR have won just one of their five matches since Critchley took over as head coach – and lost to League One side Fleetwood in the FA Cup on Saturday.

The club have since brought in forward Jamal Lowe on loan from Bournemouth and Critchley is keen to make further additions.

“Every game and every training session gives me a clearer picture of how I want to move the team and squad forward,” Critchley said.

“We look to the future but you can never take your eyes off the here and now. We want to look at what we can do now to have the best chance to have a successful season.

“That’s my job. It’s about results but you also have to have an eye on the long-term strategy of the club.”
