Gareth Ainsworth says he expects a “quiet” transfer deadline day for QPR.

Rangers want to bring in a right-back and an attacking player before the transfer window closes at 11pm on Friday.

Several potential loan deals are being looked into.

But boss Ainsworth said: “I think it will be a pretty quiet one for QPR. I’m not envisaging loads of business, but we’ll see.

“I don’t want to say nothing’s going to happen, because you never know, but we’re happy with where we are.

“I’m not saying there’s nothing happening tomorrow. Just happy with what we’ve got, and if we can add the right player at the right price at the right time then we will do.

“It’s important that it’s right for QPR, and sometimes it hasn’t been in the past.”

Rangers have been linked with a number of players in recent weeks, many of whom have ended up elsewhere.

But Ainsworth said: “I will say to everyone who reads those links that it’s quite easy for an agent to get his players’ name out there.

“You see all sorts of links at this time of year and a lot of it is agents trying to push their player and get them out there.”

Rangers’ options are currently limited by Financial Fair Play rules.

They remain interested in re-signing veteran striker Chris Martin, who has been without a club since his short-term deal at QPR expired earlier this summer.

Jamal Lowe, who was on loan from Bournemouth last season, has been seen as another potential option but currently looks like moving elsewhere.

In terms of potential outgoings, there has been speculation over the futures of Ilias Chair, Chris Willock and Sam Field.

Rangers have long been expecting interest in Chair in the final days of the transfer window.

However, by Thursday morning there had been no sign of likely offers for any of the first-team squad.
