Trialists Dju and Qureshi feature for QPR Under-23s

West Ham’s Mesaque Dju and Brighton’s Jaami Qureshi featured for QPR’s Under-23 team on trial on Tuesday afternoon.

Forward Dju (pictured above), 23, is a former Portugal youth international who was signed by West Ham in January 2019 after leaving Benfica.

He scored a hat-trick in a recent outing for QPR’s B team and was named in the starting line-up for the Under-23s against Charlton at Wealdstone’s Grosvenor Vale.

Dju played just over an hour before being replaced by fellow trialist Qureshi, 18, as QPR’s Under-23s were beaten 3-0.

Miles Leaburn opened the scoring in the first half when he latched onto Wealdstone loanee Aaron Henry’s through ball to slot past Harry Halwax, before doubling the scoring soon after with another well taken finish.

QPR defender Trent Mahorn was sent off in the second half for a kick on Dylan Gavin, which earned him a second yellow card.

And Leaburn sealed his hat-trick from the penalty spot late on.
