QPR boss predicts ‘mental’ scramble for signings

Ian Holloway has predicted a scramble for new signings ahead of Thursday’s transfer deadline.

The QPR manager is keen to further add to his squad this week and has repeated his call for the transfer-window system to be scrapped.

Holloway wants a return to the previous system, where deadline day was a relatively low-key affair in March.

“Hopefully I can get some business done in the next few days to try and strengthen us,” he said.

“But we’re all on a whim and a prayer of a window that’s going to slam shut in our face and really it shouldn’t shut until the end of a Thursday in March.

“You cannot trade, you cannot let people out on loan, you can’t bring one back if you’ve loaned him out – our loan system was perfect.

“We’re all having that fight. It’ll all be mental.”

  • Ian, brother, you've had the same amount of time as every other team in the country. Just get the deals over the line and stop embarrassing us.
