QPR boss hints at bid for Everton forward

QPR boss Harry Redknapp has indicated that he will table a bid for Everton striker Nikica Jelavic.

The Croatian, 28, is out of favour at Goodison Park and has not started a match since September.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez recently revealed that a number of clubs have shown an interest in Jelavic and that he would not stand in the player’s way if he wanted to move on.

And Redknapp said: “He’s interesting. I like him. He’s a good player and I’m sure there will be clubs interested. It depends how much [he would cost].”

Meanwhile, Redknapp plans to rest defenders Richard Dunne and Danny Simpson for this weekend’s FA Cup third round clash with Martinez’s side.
