QPR boss forced to delay naming team

QPR manager Mark Hughes will reluctantly delay naming his line-up for today’s vital game at Sunderland.

Rangers are hoping that Clint Hill comes through a fitness test on a back problem, especially as Armand Traore has been ruled out with a hamstring injury.

And a number of other players are being assessed following the dramatic victory over Liverpool in midweek.

Hughes explained: “I’ve got to make sure everybody’s okay and that they’ve got the rest that they needed.

“I’ll make a decision late on. I don’t usually do it so late, but I need to check on people.”
