QPR boss explains why he left out Wszolek

Ian Holloway has told QPR’s website he recently left out Pawel Wszolek because the winger suffered a family bereavement.

Wszolek returned to the side for last weekend’s win against Nottingham Forest and is expected to feature at Norwich on Sunday.

Manager Holloway said: “People have questioned why I’ve left out Pawel recently. He needed a break after losing his gran recently.

“He was mentally and physically exhausted after that, but we needed him against Forest and he showed what an important player he is for us.”

Grant Hall will not be involved at Carrow Road because he is still recovering from a thigh problem.

“Hally is still out for us, which is a blow, and we’re missing a few who have been carrying knocks as well,” Holloway said.
