QPR boss confirms he wants to sign Cole
Harry Redknapp has confirmed he wants to sign Joe Cole from Liverpool.
QPR are looking to take the former England star to Loftus Road, probably on loan, during this month’s transfer window.
They will ask Liverpool to continue paying a large chunk of Cole’s wages if he moves on loan.
Redknapp, who managed Cole at West Ham, is expected to speak to Anfield boss Brendan Rodgers later this week.
“I’ve got a lot of time for Joe as a player and as a person,” said Redknapp.
“I’d like to bring Joe here if I can but the deal would have to be right for the club.
“We couldn’t do a deal as it [Cole’s wages] is at Liverpool. I’ll have to speak to Brendan Rodgers. We’ll have a chat when the time’s right.”
Meanwhile, Redknapp also wants Marseille striker Loic Remy.
