QPR assess Chair and Kone injuries – as Stephan is asked about potential Kolli return

QPR are assessing injuries suffered by Ilias Chair and Richard Kone against Middlesbrough.
Both players went off during the first half of the 1-0 defeat at Loftus Road.
Chair going off seems particularly concerning given that he had looked back to form after previous injury problems.
Asked if there was any news about the pair, R’s head coach Julien Stephan said: “I don’t know. With Illy and Rich, we have to assess them in the next 24-48 hours to know exactly what happened.
“We have to manage a lot of things (with players’ fitness) and probably more if Rich and Illy unfortunately are not available.”
Asked if Kone being out might lead to Justin Obikwu, or perhaps Rayan Kolli – who has not been involved this season – being included against Charlton on Wednesday, Stephan said: “I will start to think about that tomorrow. It’s too early now to think about that.
“We need to know exactly what happened with the two players, because perhaps it’s nothing and they will be available on Wednesday, I don’t know. We need to have all the information.”
Stephen also said he believes Tariq Lamptey and Dennis Cirkin, who again featured in part of the game, are “probably two weeks” away from being fit enough to play a full 90 minutes.
