QPR are in a stronger position than Bolton, says boss

QPR manager Mark Hughes insists his team are in a stronger position than fellow strugglers Bolton despite Wanderers having played a game less.

Rangers are a point above the Lancashire club, who are in the bottom three but whose game in hand means they will stay up if they win their remaining matches.

But Hughes said: “We still feel it’s up to us and that our destiny is in our hands.

“We’ve got difficult games – it won’t be easy, make no bones about it – but we’re playing well and feel we can pick up enough points.

“It’s entirely dependent on how we perform and I think at this stage of the season my preference would be to have points on the board. I think that’s better than having games in hand.”
