No Taarabt as QPR Under-21s battle back

Adel Taarabt was not involved in a QPR Under-21 game he was originally due to play in on Tuesday afternoon.

Taarabt was recently embroiled in an extraordinary public fall-out with manager Harry Redknapp, who said on Monday that the Moroccan would feature in the match against Swansea’s second string.

Instead, Taarabt trained in the morning but was not selected for the subsequent game at Rangers’ Harlington training ground.

The match ended in a 2-2 draw after the home side came back from two down.

Max Ehmer pulled a goal back before Frankie Sutherland equalised with a penalty after Jordan Gibbons had been fouled.
