New QPR signing ‘has potential to be a very good footballer’

QPR: Harlington training ground

Enfield Borough chairman Marvin Walker has told the Enfield Independent new QPR signing Franklin Domi has the potential to go far in the game.

West London Sport revealed last week that Rangers were signing Domi, 18, from the non-League club after he impressed during a trial.

The left-back was subsequently given a contract until the end of the season and played in an Under-23 game against Hull at Loftus Road.

“Once we saw him training, it was immediately obvious that he had the potential to be a very good footballer,” Walker said.

“He is a good lad with a sensible head on his shoulders and the kind of calmness that means he will be able to take everything in his stride.

“Everyone at Enfield Borough wishes him the best of luck with his footballing career and we will be closely monitoring his progress and development.”
