QPR loan signing Richards could be out for two months

QPR’s loan signing Taylor Richards could be out for two months with a thigh injury.

Richards, who was recently brought in from Brighton, suffered the injury in training.

He missed the win over Middlesbrough along with Jake Clarke-Salter, who is nursing a hamstring problem.

Meanwhile, young striker Sinclair Armstrong was not in the squad because of an ankle strain.

Richards’ injury is a major blow for the Hammersmith-born youngster, who is desperate to make an impact following his return to west London.

“Taylor is going to be out for an extended period, unfortunately,” R’s boss Mick Beale said.

“We won’t be seeing him this side of the international break, which is desperately disappointing for him and for me, because he’s a boy I trust a lot and I feel he’s got a bright future in front of him.

“We’re certainly saying he won’t be play this side of the international break – so the next six to eight weeks. It’s hugely disappointing.”
