New injury for luckless QPR star

QPR midfielder Akos Buzsaky is struggling with an Achilles problem.

It is potentially an untimely blow for the Hungarian, who recently made an impressive return to first-team action after a long spell of injury troubles.

He is a doubt for Saturday’s FA Cup clash with Chelsea, as is defender Danny Gabbidon with the hamstring problem which caused him to miss last weekend’s win against Wigan.

Helguson has not trained this week.

Strikers Jay Bothroyd and DJ Campbell have been ruled out with groin and hamstring injuries respectively, while Heidar Helguson has not trained this week.

Helguson is also nursing a groin problem but is expected to play a part in this weekend’s game.

However, it looks as though Taye Taiwo will have to wait for his R’s debut following his move from AC Milan.

The Nigerian left-back has returned to Italy to wait for his work permit to be rubber-stamped and has still not been given clearance to play for his new club.
