Midfielder completes move to QPR

QPR have formally completed the signing of midfielder Samba Diakite from French club Nancy.

The Mali international, currently on international duty at the Africa Cup of Nations, has joined Rangers on loan until the end of the season with a view to a permanent move if they stay in the Premier League.

Diakite, 23, was also a target for Lyon, while Aston Villa expressed some interest in signing him last year.
