Kranjcar hamstring injury a worry for QPR
QPR will assess the extent of a hamstring injury Niko Kranjcar suffered during the goalless draw against Wigan.
Kranjcar was taken off shortly before half-time at the DW Stadium, where striker Andy Johnson made his return to action as a second-half substitute.
Rangers, who recently offered former Chelsea and Liverpool playmaker Yossi Benayoun a trial, believe Kranjcar is highly unlikely to be fit for Saturday’s game against Derby.
After a match of few clear-cut chances, the R’s left the north west feeling aggrieved after keeper Lee Nicholls escaped despite appearing to foul Johnson in the closing minutes.
“The goalie pushed him over,” said furious Rangers boss Harry Redknapp.
“You can do that, can you? Run out of the goal and push the striker over and not give a foul away? It must be a new game we’re playing.
“I think the only person who didn’t see it was the referee. How can you not see that?”
