QPR to assess injuries picked up by Osayi-Samuel and Kakay

Bright Osayi-Samuel will be assessed on Sunday morning after going off injured during QPR’s defeat against Reading.

Manager Mark Warburton was unclear immediately after the game what the nature of the problem was.

“I don’t know. He had some tightness. We’ve got to see he reports in the morning,” Warburton said.

“These are the fatigue injuries we’re going to get. Every team is going to suffer from them.

“You’re seeing players go down and it’s always after the hour mark and the fatigue just kicks in.

“We’ve just got to see how they are. It’s a worry, because we’ve got a tight squad. It’s a difficult one.”

Osman Kakay was also taken off in the second half after picking up a knock.

Both the defender and Osayi-Samuel look doubtful for Tuesday’s game against Stoke.

Warburton said: “It was an impact injury. Ozzy tried to carry on and you saw him hobbling.

“He’s a brave kid and a very committed defender, Again, we’ve got to see how he is in the morning.”
