Hughes sure Cisse will shine at Bolton

Mark Hughes is convinced Djibril Cisse will deliver for QPR in their vital relegation clash with Bolton.

Cisse returns to the side after suspension and manager Hughes says the striker is keen to atone for being sent off on his home debut.

His absence has meant Hughes has not been able to pair Cisse with fellow deadline-day signing Bobby Zamora in recent games, which the R’s boss admits has been frustrating.

Hughes said: “He wants to make amends and make sure he has an impact on games, and given his attitude in training – he’s been really impressive – I feel sure that at some point in the game he’ll make an impact.

“I brought him to the club because I thought it was important that we had a striker of his ability.

“It’s been frustrating because we haven’t really got to put together the partnership of Djibril and Bobby Zamora.

“In the short time they played together they showed great potential so it’s now about getting them on the pitch together and hoping they click, which I’m sure they will because they’re two quality players.”
