Hughes: QPR do not have discipline problem

QPR manager Mark Hughes has denied his side have a discipline problem.

Stephane Mbia’s sending-off for kicking out at Thomas Vermaelen during Saturday’s defeat at Arsenal was the club’s ninth red card of 2012.

It means the defender must now serve a three-match ban and will miss crucial home games against Reading and Southampton as Rangers look to move off the bottom of the table.

But Hughes said: “This season we’ve only had two red cards. There were different personnel here last season.

“We haven’t got a discipline problem in my view. We try to get the ball down and are not an aggressive team. In fact, at times we need to be more aggressive.”
