Holloway says he wants up to three more players

Ian Holloway says QPR are looking to sign up to three more players during this month’s transfer window.

The Rangers boss has added to his squad by signing Kazenga LuaLua on loan and recalling Darnell Furlong and Michael Doughty from their season-long loans at Swindon.

But with League clubs no longer to make loan signings outside of the transfer window, Holloway is keen to bring in reinforcements – particularly in attacking areas.

“Because of the new rules that we can’t have emergency loans, we’d all like a full quota of full-fit players,” Holloway said.

“I’m just concerned at the moment if we get one or two injuries – if I lose Jamie Mackie again, if I lose Sylla or Pawel – but things are ticking over quite nicely.

“I’m trying to cover those eventualities and trying to bring in a couple of new faces.

“Furlong and Doughty feel like new signings, plus LuaLua is a new signing, so that’s three already.

“I don’t need that many more. But we’re working our socks off to bring in maybe one, maybe two, maybe even three more.”
