Ian Holloway says there is no prospect of Pawel Wszolek leaving QPR.

Reports in Wszolek’s native Poland have linked him with a transfer to Legia Warsaw and Holloway recently hinted that a move was possible, with the Rangers manager keen to revamp his squad and Wszolek concerned his lack of regular first-team football could affect his chances of going to the World Cup.

West London Sport subsequently revealed that no approach has been made for Wszolek but that there was a return to Poland in the offing for Ariel Borysiuk, who has since left QPR and signed for Lechia Gdańsk.

Wszolek was not involved in QPR’s defeat against 10-man Bristol City because he took a blow to the head in a recent Under-23 game and is still feeling groggy.

“He smashed his head on Monday and he got concussion,” Holloway explained.

“He’s going nowhere. But he came in on Thursday wobbling around, so he might be out for quite a bit with that.”
