Jordan Cousins and Paul Smyth have been ruled out of QPR’s trip to face Burton this weekend.

Cousins, who has been beset by hamstring trouble since his move to Rangers from Charlton, is nursing another hamstring problem.

Manager Ian Holloway told the club website: “I don’t believe it is a huge issue but we need to be careful with him owing to his recent history.”

Forward Smyth, who has started Rangers’ last two matches and scored their winner against Cardiff, has a thigh injury.

Meanwhile, Alex Baptiste has been passed fit despite going off with a back injury after just 10 minutes of Saturday’s FA Cup defeat against MK Dons.

Massimo Luongo, who was rested for that game, is set to return.
