Freeman could feature for QPR at Boro

Luke Freeman’s injury is not as significant as initially feared and the QPR playmaker could feature in Saturday’s game at Middlesbrough.

Freeman went off with a hip flexor problem towards the end of the midweek loss at home to West Brom – Rangers’ sixth consecutive league defeat.

Manager Steve McClaren said after that game he doubted that Freeman would be available this weekend.

However, the player has responded well to treatment and could be involved against Boro, who tried to sign him last summer.

Freeman and Grant Hall will have fitness tests before McClaren decides his line-up for the game.

Hall, previously dogged by a persistent knee problem, was rested for the West Brom match, having played in the previous four games.

The defender recently told West London Sport he believes his knee issue has now been resolved.
