QPR’s Yun returns to action after knee injury

Yun Suk-Young made his return to action on Monday afternoon, featuring for QPR’s development side in a match against Crystal Palace.

West London Sport recently revealed that Yun, who missed the whole of pre-season with a knee injury, was close to returning – he was considered for selection last week.

Rangers won 5-2 at their Harlington training ground, where Yun played the full 90 minutes.

So too did summer signing Ben Gladwin, who has also been nursing an injury.

Gladwin, Darnell Furlong, Gianni Crichlow and Harly Wise netted for the hosts, while on-loan Chelsea striker Patrick Bamford scored for Palace.

Rangers scored twice shortly before the break, with winger Crichlow slotting home after being set up by Aaron Mitchell and defender Wise heading in following a corner.

Bamford scored from an acute angle to make it 2-1 early in the second half, but QPR’s two-lead lead was restored when Mitchell crossed for Gladwin to score.

Frankie Sutherland had a chance to make it 4-1 following a handball in the box but his penalty was saved by keeper Kleton Perntreou.

The fourth goal eventually arrived courtesy of an own goal by Luke Croll, whose back-pass was embarrassingly missed by Perntreou and rolled into the net.

Furlong then headed home Sutherland’s free-kick before Keshi Anderson scored a late goal for Palace.
