QPR’s Wright-Phillips rejects Charlton move

Out-of-favour QPR winger Shaun Wright-Phillips has snubbed a possible move to Charlton.

The former England international has not started a match since September and will be pushed further down the pecking order at Loftus Road by the loan signing of Ravel Morrison from West Ham.

Charlton expressed an interest in a loan deal but Wright-Phillips, 32, indicated that he was not keen on the move.

His brother Bradley had a two-and-a-half-year spell with the Addicks, who face Rangers at The Valley on Saturday.

Shaun Wright-Phillips moved to west London from Manchester City in August 2011. He signed a three-year contract which expires this summer.

QPR manager Harry Redknapp last month told West London Sport he doubted Wright-Phillips would leave on loan.
