QPR boss insists Dunne can still do a job

Harry Redknapp insists he would have no qualms about recalling Richard Dunne.

The QPR defender turned 35 on Sunday and has struggled since the club’s promotion to the Premier League.

Dunne was substituted at half-time in the recent 4-0 defeat at Tottenham and is now behind the likes of Clint Hill in the pecking order at Loftus Road.

But manager Redknapp said: “I’m a big fan of Richard Dunne. He found it a little bit difficult playing on the left of the three. If he plays he can do a great job.”

Dunne featured for Rangers’ development side in a match against Nottingham Forest on Monday.

So to did Yun Suk-Young, who is working his way back to fitness following an injury.
