QPR look unlikely to sign Marco Motta following the Italian defender’s recent trial at the club.
Rangers discussed a short-term contract for the 29-year-old right-back but both parties are now looking at other options.
Motta has been without a club since leaving Watford at the end of last season and has been keen to secure a return to England.
Prior to his three-month spell at Vicarage Road, during which time he made seven league starts for the Hornets, Motta was at Juventus.
Meanwhile, QPR have confirmed the departure of Steve Gallen.
