Rangers sign striker and loan out defender

QPR have signed striker Tyler Blackwood and allowed defender Michael Harriman to rejoin Wycombe on loan.

London-born Blackwood, who turns 24 later this month, has signed a one-year deal to run from 1 August.

He scored six goals while training with Rangers last season, after three years playing for the University of South Florida. His tally included a brace in a first-team friendly with Norwich City.

The former Northampton and Barnet trainee told QPR’s official website: “My personal target this season is to get league appearances.

“I know I’m good enough, but I have to prove to the manager and the rest of the team that I deserve to be involved.”

Harriman, who last week signed a new one-year contract with Rangers, has joined Wycombe until the end of January.

The 22-year-old right-back had a spell on loan at Wycombe in 2013 and spent most of last season at Luton.

He made his Premier League debut for QPR at Liverpool on the final day of the 2012-2013 season.
