QPR assessing El Khayati injury

QPR are assessing an injury Nasser El Khayati picked up during their EFL Cup win against Rochdale.

El Khayati went off shortly before half-time and Rangers are unsure of the extent of the problem.

“We don’t yet – we will need to assess him,” said manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

“He got a knee in his back. He’s not somebody who gets injured very easily.”

El Khayati’s injury meant Olamide Shodpio played the full 90 minutes of Tuesday’s game at Loftus Road.

Hasselbaink had intended to substitute the young winger at some point in the second half.

Meanwhile, Rangers are considering signing former Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner.

  • we have gone from free spenders to the cheapskates of the league, hence we have no chance of finishing in the top 6 this season.I don't know what Mr Fernandes intentions are,but please stop messing around with the club if you and your co owners are not truly committed to getting QPR back in the premiership, with a team that can sustain future seasons there.
