Yun Suk-Young has told QPR’s website he is hoping to return to the squad for Saturday’s game against Nottingham Forest.
The South Korea left-back has featured in the last two matches for Rangers’ development side, having missed all of pre-season with a knee problem.
And he hopes to at least make the substitutes’ bench at Loftus Road this weekend.
“I have found it very frustrating to not be able to play for QPR,” he said.
“But now I hope I can at least be on the bench on Saturday. I really want this, and I really want to be able to help the team.
“The team have made a good start to the season so I am very pleased, but I really want to be involved and play my part in this.”
