QPR keeper Lumley lined up for loan move

QPR

QPR hope to send goalkeeper Joe Lumley out on loan in the coming days.

Lumley, 21, had been lined up for a loan move to Gillingham but that deal now appears unlikely to go through.

Rangers are now looking at other options as they are keen for Lumley to pick up more first-team experience.

He made six appearances during a loan spell at Accrington in 2014, but only one during a stint at Morecambe and none at all while on loan at Stevenage last season.

Lumley has since made his senior debut for QPR, at Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup, and played in the Championship game against Blackburn in January.

With keeper Conor Hudnott having been ruled out for around six months with a shoulder injury, Rangers’ signing of Seny Dieng for the development squad means they are now willing to let Lumley go elsewhere.

Meanwhile, QPR have missed out on the signing of Swansea City winger Modou Barrow.
