QPR complete move for Charlton’s Cousins

QPR have completed the signing of Charlton midfielder Jordan Cousins.

The 22-year-old has agreed a three-year deal and becomes the fourth arrival at Loftus Road this summer, after defenders Jake Bidwell and Joel Lynch and midfielder Ariel Borysiuk.

West London Sport revealed last week the two clubs were in talks over a move for Cousins, and they have agreed an initial fee of £1.25m, potentially rising to £1.4m with add-ons.

He was left out of Charlton’s squad for a pre-season friendly against Bromley on Tuesday ahead of his expected transfer.

A number of clubs had expressed an interest in signing him since the Addicks’ relegation from the Championship last season.

Cousins made 136 appearances for Charlton, scoring seven goals, and was widely tipped to move on this summer.

He could make his QPR debut in a friendly against Northampton Town next Tuesday.
