QPR extend Furlong’s Cambridge loan spell

QPR have agreed to extend Darnell Furlong’s loan spell at Cambridge United until 9 April.

Furlong has impressed for the League Two side, who are managed by former R’s midfielder Shaun Derry. 

The right-back, 20, spent the first half of the season on loan at Northampton Town, making 11 appearances.

He has made four first-team appearances for QPR – three of them in the Premier League.
