Hoilett could sign new QPR contract

Junior Hoilett of QPR

Junior Hoilett has indicated that he could sign a new deal at QPR after all.

Hoilett, whose current contract expires this summer, previously told the club he was keen to leave and had no interest in re-signing.

Rangers maintained contact with his representatives, who are looking to secure Hoilett a move to a Premier League club but have recently indicated that the Canadian, 25, could be persuaded to stay at Loftus Road.

Manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink wants to keep Hoilett, 25, but told out-of-contract trio Clint Hill, Karl Henry and Alejandro Faurlin that they were not part of his first-team plans for next season.

Hill and Faurlin have subsequently left the club, while Henry is discussing staying on.

Meanwhile, QPR have had an approach for Brentford captain Jake Bidwell rejected.
