Hoilett scores hat-trick as QPR’s Under-21s draw 5-5

Junior Hoilett scored a hat-trick as QPR’s development side drew 5-5 with Huddersfield Town.

Oscar Gobern scored against his former team-mates and another summer signing, French youngster Axel Prohouly, also found the net in the game at Rangers’ Harlington training ground, where the first six goals were scored in a 22-minute spell in the first half.

Ex-Terriers midfielder Gobern opened the scoring on 10 minutes and the visitors responded immediately with a goal from William Boyle.

Hoilett restored Rangers’ lead and scored again after Duane Holmes had equalised.

Forward Prohouly made it 4-2 shortly after the half-hour mark and the lead was cut again when Flo Bojaj netted four minutes after the interval.

Hoilett made it 5-3 but Holmes and Sondre Tronstad scored late goals to deny the hosts, whose line-up also included Samba Diakite.
