Eustace unsure whether Freeman will stay at QPR

QPR caretaker boss John Eustace says he is unsure whether Luke Freeman has played his final match for the club.

Freeman, who has been linked with a move, was left out of the side for Rangers’ final two matches of the season.

Their troubled campaign ended with Matt Smith volleying in an injury-time winner at Sheffield Wednesday.

Eustace, placed in caretaker charge following the sacking of Steve McClaren, said Freeman had merely been rested and that he did not know whether the playmaker was likely to be sold.

The win meant Rangers finished 19th in the Championship table with 51 points.

“The attitude of the players has been different class,” Eustace said.

“They’ve stuck to the gameplans and did everything that I’ve asked them to do.

“They’ve got the right attitude and are willing to learn.”
