Yun Suk-Young could return to action on Monday.
The South Korea left-back missed all of QPR’s pre-season campaign because of knee injury but has made good progress with his recovery.
And Yun, who made 23 appearances last term, might feature for Rangers’ development side in a match against Brentford.
His condition will be assessed ahead of the game before a final decision is taken on whether he will play.
However, Armand Traore remains sidelined with a knee problem despite previous optimism that he too was close to return.
