QPR boss Mick Beale lavished praise of Chris Willock and Ilias Chair after the pair inspired his side to a first away win of the season.

Willock and Chair both scored and were too hot for Watford to handle at Vicarage Road as Rangers enjoyed the best win of Beale’s short tenure in charge.

Chair opened the scoring with a deflected effort and had a hand in the build up to Willock’s strike and the winner for Albert Adomah 20 minutes from time.

“I think a few things went for us with the first goal but we had two excellent goals and perhaps could have a had fourth when Ilias was put through,” Beale said.

“They are a Premier League team in terms of profile, size and ability ,but I thought we matched them and were the stronger team today and played good football.

“There are some big names in their team who will go on and do well for Watford and play in the Premier League if the rumours are to be believed, but Chris Willock and Ilias Chair were outstanding today.

“I would like the focus to be on them two they were incredible with their skill, their ability to play together. Chris has not been able to complete 90 minutes yet but he was excellent.

“They were a big reason why I came to the club and I thought big Lyndon (Dykes) backed into their defenders and gave them room to play.

“We’ve got a lot of nice players at the club and have a good team and it is important we support them.”
