Paul Smyth makes his QPR debut in the game against Cardiff at Loftus Road.

Forward Smyth, a summer signing from Linfield, starts for Rangers, who have Jack Robinson back after illness kept the defender out of Friday’s defeat at Millwall.

Josh Scowen, who was suspended for the Millwall game, also returns. Pawel Wszolek drops to the bench, with Jordan Cousins moving back to the right flank.

Matt Smith also starts, with Idrissa Sylla dropping to the bench along with Bright Osayi-Samuel.

Neither Grant Hall nor Conor Washington are in the matchday squad.

Cardiff’s former QPR boss Neil Warnock makes five changes, with ex-Rangers man Junior Hoilett starting after being passed fit following illness.
