Transfer gossip: QPR tipped to complete Archer deal

Some of the latest transfer speculation involving QPR…

QPR have been tipped to complete the signing of goalkeeper Jordan Archer.

The Scotland international, 28, is a free agent after recently leaving Middlesbrough.

The Sun on Sunday say Archer is set to join the R’s, who are ready to let another Scotland keeper, Liam Kelly, move on.

The same newspaper recently reported that QPR were to sign veteran keeper Andy Lonergan.

Both Lonergan and Archer have been among the keepers being considered by the club as a possible signing to act as back-up for Seny Dieng.

Kelly ended last season on loan at Motherwell, who are keen to sign him permanently, and he has indicated that he does not want to return to west London to act as Dieng’s deputy.

Dundee United are also interested in Kelly, who has two years remaining on his QPR contract.

Blackburn linked with Johansen

Blackburn Rovers are looking to sign Stefan Johansen, it is claimed.

The midfielder impressed while on loan from Fulham at QPR, who are hoping to sign him on a permanent deal.

Blackburn were previously linked with Johansen, who has a year remaining on his Fulham contract.

And the Lancashire Telegraph therefore claim Rovers are looking to snap him up this summer.

The managerial vacancy at Fulham, recently filled by Marco Silva, left QPR waiting for an answer on whether Johansen will be allowed to leave Craven Cottage.

He has indicated that he would like to stay in London and is keen to sign for the R’s.

Blackburn are currently under a transfer embargo.
