QPR v Derby player ratings

QPR continued their encouraging early-season form with a thumping 4-1 victory over Derby at Loftus Road. Here’s how we rated each Rangers player.
Pierce Charles: 7
Impressive once again, showing the usual superb distribution and producing a couple of saves late in the game.
Kealey Adamson: 7
Having done well as a makeshift left-back, Adamson has also looked the part in his preferred right-back position. He was calm in possession and always tenacious when looking to win the ball.
Jimmy Dunne: 7
Played well and organised the defence effectively, albeit against a team that were outplayed and posed very little threat.
Ronnie Edwards: 8
Showed his class, especially when setting up Kwame Poku with a brilliant pass. Unlucky when a fine tackle resulted in the loose ball being stuck away for Derby’s consolation goal.
Boy Kemper: 8
Showed his terrific display at West Ham was no flash in the pan. Another fine showing, the highlight of which saw him set up the opening goal for Alfie Lloyd. Also created a chance for Paul Smyth, who headed the Dutchman’s cross over the bar.

Glen Kamara: 7
Unspectacular in midfield, but did the basics well and worked hard off the ball.
Nicolas Madsen: 7
Showed his nice range of passing – with the help of a Derby side who put him under very little pressure. Tucked away another penalty with ease.
Paul Smyth: 8
Scored with a deflected shot, and that was a fitting reward for another performance full of relentless work-rate and no little quality. Missed a good chance though.
Harvey Vale: 7
Drifted in and out of the game, but did produce a moment of quality when he fired in the third goal.
Alfie Lloyd: 8
Always willing but not always able to finish – but it was a different story as he calmly fired in the opener. Was always a problem for Derby’s defence.
Rayan Kolli: 7
Didn’t offer much in terms of a goal threat but performed an important role up front and was involved in the build-up to the third goal.
Richard Kone: 6
Came on just after the hour mark. Still doesn’t look fit.
Jonathan Varane: 6
Did a solid job in midfield after his introduction.
Kwame Poku: 6
Lively, but unable to take a chance after being set up by Edwards, dragging a shot wide of the target.
