QPR forward Alfie Lloyd faces at least a couple of months on the sidelines.

Lloyd went off injured after coming on as a substitute during Saturday’s 4-1 defeat at Southampton.

And he appears to have suffered a hamstring tear, ruling him out for a significant period of time.

Head coach Julien Stephan admitted on Monday afternoon: “It’s a long-term injury. It will probably be difficult for him to come back before the end of the year.”

Saturday’s appearance was Lloyd’s ninth of the season for the R’s. He scored in the recent 4-1 win at home to Derby.

Meanwhile, Jake Clarke-Salter is set to miss Tuesday’s home match against Burnley.

Clarke-Salter was a doubt for the Southampton game. He ended up being an unused substitute at St Mary’s, but is not expected to be involved against the Clarets.
