Transfer gossip: QPR linked with Newcastle youngster

QPR are among Championship clubs linked with Newcastle youngster Elliot Anderson.

The 19-year-old attacker has impressed while on loan at Bristol Rovers – and was a target for Luton in January.

The Sunday Mirror say QPR, Nottingham Forest and Preston are all eyeing Anderson ahead of a possible move this summer.





Young-Coombes also linked

It has also been claimed that QPR are among clubs showing an interest in Brentford youngster Nathan Young-Coombes.

The 19-year-old winger, a former England Under-17 international who was signed from Scottish champions Rangers, has yet to play a first-team match for the Bees.

He has impressed for Brentford’s B team and a number of lower-division clubs expressed an interest in signing him on loan during the January transfer window.

The Sun claim Premier League clubs Southampton and Crystal Palace are “on alert” ahead of a possible move to buy him and that there is also interest from QPR, Bournemouth and Swansea.

Brentford are said to be willing to let Young-Coombes out on loan next season.
