QPR defender Grant Hall returned to action in a behind-closed-doors friendly on Tuesday afternoon.

Hall played the first half of the game against Swindon at Rangers’ Harlington training ground, which the hosts won 3-2. It was his first outing for seven months.

West London Sport revealed over the weekend that Hall had been lined up to play 45 minutes.

He missed most of last season because of knee trouble and had surgery in February.

David Wheeler, recently back in action after missing the second half of last season with a back injury, also featured in the game – and scored.

QPR’s other goals came from Paul Smyth and Idissa Sylla.

Hall was replaced by Stevenage defender Ali Omar, who is on trial with the R’s.
