Derby v QPR player ratings

QPR were beaten by two injury-time goals by Harry Wilson at Pride Park in their penultimate away match of a troubled season. Here’s how we rated each Rangers player in the 2-0 defeat against Derby.

Joe Lumley: 7

Almost kept out Wilson’s 94th-minute penalty having produced a number of saves, including when he pushed Mason Mount’s effort on to the post.

Pawel Wszolek: 7

Did well at right-back. Defended solidly, covered his centre-backs through the middle when needed and also managed to get forward frequently.

Darnell Furlong: 7

Comfortable in the centre of defence, despite preferring playing at right-back. Defended well and went close to scoring with a first-half header.

Geoff Cameron: 7

Deployed at centre-back and his performance suggested he ought to have been given a role there before now.

Ryan Manning: 7

Again playing at left-back, Manning responded well to an iffy performance against Blackburn with another impressive showing. Was caused problems by Wilson but stuck to the task.

Bright Osayi-Samuel: 7

Lively throughout. A constant problem for Scott Malone, not least when he robbed the former Fulham man and created a great chance for Tomer Hemed.

Massimo Luongo: 7

Scrapped in midfield, helping Rangers frustrate the home side for large spells.

Josh Scowen: 7

Continued his recent good form. Won countless challenges and used the ball well, including when he played in Nahki Wells in the first half, but the striker was unable to take advantage.

Luke Freeman: 7

Desperately unfortunate to have a penalty awarded against him – particularly harsh in light of the outstanding defensive work Freeman contributed throughout the game.

Nahki Wells: 6

Worked hard up front but rarely posed a goal threat and didn’t react quickly enough when set up by Scowen in the first half.

Tomer Hemed: 5

Sluggish. As shown by his inability to get to Osayi-Samuel’s low cross.

Matt Smith: 6

Made an impact after coming on but missed a good chance by heading wide.
