Johansen closing in on return for QPR

QPR captain Stefan Johansen is set to return to full training after injury.

Neil Critchley is hopeful the Norwegian will be able to join the rest of the squad on the eve of the FA Cup trip to Fleetwood, but the R’s boss will have to wait longer for Leon Balogun to return.

Critchley explained: “Stefan has been out doing some training and I’m hoping he can now join in team training.

“I’m due to see the club doctor and hopefully he’ll tell me Stefan can do that. Leon is a bit further behind.”

Meanwhile, Jake Clarke-Salter, who has recently been troubled by injury and illness, is back in training.

Clarke-Salter has not featured since the win at Preston last month in Critchley’s first game in charge.

“Jake has been training and is OK,” Critchley confirmed.
